Hi friends,

It's time once again to look back at the past 12 months, with 2025 looming right around the corner.  This was a challenging year in many ways, which is why we're as appreciative as ever that you choose to spend some time with us every day.  This site recently celebrated its 15th anniversary, and you all continue to show up from around the world to check out the latest ramblings.  You are the best.

Now, the usual disclaimer:  We like to think that everything we wrote this year was top-notch, so it's hard to single out just a handful of posts, but we'll try.  What follows is a combination of some of our most-read pieces, as well as a few which are reflective of the general vibe around here, as we spend our time discussing, "politics, sports, and a healthy dose of randomness," while enjoying a nice cup of coffee.

It's always interesting to see the themes that appear when we run this exercise.  We've been slowly expanding more into more music reviews, and they've garnered a lot of interest, so that's something you'll likely see again next year.   Of course, Doctor Who and Van Halen both grab a spot (or four) on the list, because some things never change.  There's also an appearance from Taylor Swift, because this is clearly her world.  The rest of us are just living in it.

Like we said earlier, we work hard every day to create content that you'll enjoy, but this is a pretty good starting point if you're a new reader.  (Also, welcome!)
