(Review) Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version)

The Doctor is Coming!

The wait is almost over, folks!

We first got a peek at the 15th Doctor in the closing moments of "The Giggle," and then he found Ruby Sunday in "The Church on Ruby Road" last Christmas.  Now we finally know when the first full season for Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson begins:

The new era starts on May 11, and May 10!

Wait, what?

If we've got this straight, the first two episodes will be available via the BBC iPlayer at midnight on May 11, before they air later that night on BBC One.  However, they'll also be available on Disney+ at the same time as the iPlayer, which is 7:00 p.m. on May 10 in the United States.

Did everyone follow that?  We're doing a little time skipping, and we don't even have a TARDIS!

In any case, we're thrilled to finally see the Doctor and Ruby in action again.  Our expectations were unreasonably high as soon as Russell T. Davies' return was announced, and we haven't been disappointed yet.

We have a number of questions:  Who are Ruby's parents, what's the deal with the mysterious neighbor Mrs. Flood, and who was the great enemy who even scared the Toymaker?  The trailer makes it clear that Kate Stewart will be back, and we know Melanie Bush will also make another appearance.  Who else would you like to see?

Personally, we're also looking forward to more of the fantastic new TARDIS interior.  The previous administration's poor handling of that set will forever drive us nuts, but we love the latest version!

The only issue we have with this announcement is that the double-shot on the first week is a mixed bag.  On the one hand, two Doctor Who episodes in one night?  Yes please, and thank you very much.  On the other hand, this season is only eight episodes long, so it will already go by too fast, and now they've made it a week shorter.  Ah well, at least we'll have the Christmas special to look forward to at the end of the year.

There has to be a full-length trailer coming between now and then to raise the excitement levels even higher, but for now, we'll keep ourselves occupied with this teaser:

See you again soon, everyone!
