The rumors are true: The BBC confirmed that Jodie Whittaker and Chris Chibnall will both be leaving Doctor Who, following three specials that will air in 2022. This feels like a mixed bag. "Three series and out" has been the standard operating procedure for the lead actor during the modern era of the show, so it's not a surprise that this change is coming. This is "Season Ticket Holder Appreciation Week," so they let me in a little bit before everyone else, which was nice.
