Hi everyone, Welcome back, and congratulations on making it through another week! Let's focus on what an accomplishment that is, and not that the weather forecast calls for snow tomorrow. It shouldn't last all that long, so at least there's that. My only hope is that it doesn't wreck the tulips, but in any case, it's a good thing I already put down the compost. Anyway, the sun is shining, and the guys say the coffee is ready. Grab yourself a nice medium DD, and let's clear out some Friday Clutter. Donald Trump won't have to pardon disgraced former national... Read more →

Hi everyone, Welcome back! How are you? Still hanging in there? BDH and Little Buddha point out that at least the weekend is almost here. I know, the days all look alike at this point, but it's still important to remember things like that. I had a lovely time in the garden yesterday afternoon. My new bumblebee friend followed me around for a while. He's been here every day this week, and I think he's on a scouting mission for his friends. I sat down for quick break on the back porch at one point, but then we had this... Read more →

Hi everyone, Welcome back! How are you? Our staff is all doing well, although it still seems colder than it should be for the first week in May. Yesterday was pretty productive, but I felt antsy later in the afternoon. It wasn't warm enough to hang out in the garden, so I went for a short run on the treadmill. If you told me in January I would become a guy who jogged more than 20 feet this year, I would have looked at you like you were crazy. Of course, if you told me anything about how 2020 would... Welcome to Day 4000 of quarantine. It's too cold and windy to be out in the garden (this is May, right?), so we thought we'd check out Jerry Seinfeld's new Netflix special, 23 Hours to Kill. While we were fans of the legendary sitcom, Seinfeld has come across as increasingly unlikable in recent years. (The second an older wealthy white guy starts whining about "political correctness" is when we start tuning them out.) However, the special is only an hour long, and there wasn't anything else to watch at that moment, so why not? Maybe the stand-up comedian could provide... Read more →

Hi everyone, Welcome back! Sorry we're late. As we discussed yesterday, I brought the car in for an oil change first thing this morning. The light only started flashing on Sunday, but I wanted to take care of it as soon as possible. After that, it was time for this week's grocery shopping. That's still much more of an event than it was pre-pandemic, but it's not as stressful as it was in the beginning of the madness. Maybe it's that most people are wearing their masks in the stores, or maybe it's just about adjusting to the new normal...or... Read more →

Hi everyone, Welcome back! How are you? How was the rest of your weekend? Things are fine here at the moment. We've reached the point of the year where the sun wakes us up in the morning, which is nice. It's so much easier to get out of bed when it's not pitch black outside. The garden is coming along nicely, although it could probably use some rain, which I think is coming later this week. Today's big activity is going grocery shopping for Dad Clutter, so it's time to break out the newest mask in the collection. First, let's... Read more →

Hi everyone, Welcome back! How are you? It looks like it's going to be a beautiful day, which makes me a little nervous that people will be behaving irresponsibly. That's likely to be a growing trend as the weather improves, which is frustrating. We've spent decades celebrating the sacrifices that previous generations made during World War II, and now we can't even handle being told to stay home. Anyway, it is nice to see the sun. I've got a few things to take care of at Clutter Headquarters today, but at least we can probably open up some windows for... Read more →

Hi everyone, Welcome back! How are you? Who is ready for a nap? We all made it to the end of another week, so good for us! It's raining outside, and it looks like that's the forecast for the day. That's fine, it's good for the garden, and maybe it will make it easier for me to focus on the tasks I have to do inside today. Yeah, let's go with that. Of course, BDH and Little Buddha will also do their best to keep me productive. On a related note, they just made a fresh pot of coffee, so... Read more →
