Hi everyone, Welcome back, and a happy Friday to you all! What's on the schedule for this weekend? Nothing too crazy on this end. I'll probably cut the garden back a little bit more. Of course, any still-active flowers are welcome to stay for as long as they like. Oh, I also need to do a watering as well, although that might wait until Monday. Other than that, it should be pretty quiet here, besides watching the Patriots take on the Jets. BDH and Little Buddha are getting a new book to read in October, but maybe I'll see if... Hi everyone, Welcome back! How are you? Yesterday was a challenge after getting so little sleep, thanks to Tuesday's Red Sox game. However, I took care of the most essential errands and then slept like a rock for almost eight hours last night. I feel recharged, which is good, because BDH and Little Buddha just handed me today's to-do list. They also want you to know that the coffee is ready, so grab yourself a nice medium DD, and let's clear out some Thursday Clutter. (As always, if you'd like to support our coffee budget, please consider using the Clutter... Read more →

Hi everyone, Welcome back! Come on in, have a seat. Before we go any further, I should warn you that I'm working on four hours of sleep, so this could get ugly quickly. Last night's Red Sox game didn't have the result I was looking for (more on that later), and it may have been the longest uninterrupted game I've ever seen in person (5 hours 54 minutes...yikes.) I got out of there a little bit after 1:00 this morning. I did leave Fenway Park at 2:45 a.m. once, but that game involved an extended rain delay. The night wasn't... Read more →

Christopher Eccleston thrilled Doctor Who fans around the world with his portrayal of the Ninth Doctor when the show returned to TV in 2005. He brought a new level of passion and charisma to the role of the Time Lord. Of course, his terrific work with Billie Piper, playing companion Rose Tyler, set the foundation of the new era. The one major problem with Eccleston's stint was that it only lasted one year. (Of course, he was followed by David Tennant, so everything worked out fine.) Now, Eccleston admits in his new autobiography, I Love the Bones of You, that... Read more →

Hi everyone, Welcome back! Come on in. How are you? It was a bit of a challenge to push through the day yesterday, but I did mow the lawn and water the garden, so at least that's all set for a bit. I don't usually bring flowers in from the garden. I figure they should run their course from start to finish outside. However, there was a group of Black-eyed Susans that I wanted to buy a little more time with before the cold took them, so I stuck them in some old water jugs to decorate the kitchen for... Hi everyone, Welcome back! Come on in, have a seat. We hope you all had a great weekend. BDH and Little Buddha were just reminding me that I need to mow the lawn and water the garden later today. Even though it's mid-September, we've got to make sure the plants are taken care of until the hard frost arrives. We've also got a couple of errands to take care of, but those can be dealt with later. Let's check out today's headlines. The guys say the coffee is ready, so grab yourself a nice medium DD, because it's time to... Read more →

Hi everyone, Welcome back! How are you? BDH, Little Buddha, and I were just talking about how we can't believe we're already halfway through September. I think what's throwing me off a little bit (in a good way) is that some of our flowers are still hanging in there. Everything about the garden was about a month later than usual this year. It looks like that means some plants will also stay around a little longer, which works for me. Anyway, we hope you're having a good weekend - now, let's check out today's news. The guys say the coffee... Read more →

Hi everyone, Welcome back, and a happy Friday to you all. Wait, it's Friday the 13th! Oooh. I'm being told by our crew that there's also a full moon. Well, this should be interesting. Maybe that explains why my dreams were all so chaotic last night. Anyway, let's check out today's headlines. BDH and Little Buddha say the coffee is ready, so grab yourself a nice medium DD, because it's time to clear out some Clutter. (As always, if you'd like to support our coffee budget, please consider using the Clutter Amazon page for your shopping needs.) The third Democratic... Read more →

Hi everyone, Welcome back! How are you? We're all fine, except that one of us has to go do the dentist this afternoon, and he is not looking forward to it. My head is still a little sore from where I knocked it against the dresser on Tuesday, but it's getting better. BDH and Little Buddha have done a terrific job of looking after me. Don't worry, they haven't forgotten about you. There's a fresh pot of coffee on the table, so grab yourself a nice medium DD, and let's clear out some Thursday Clutter. (As always, if you'd like... Hi everyone, Welcome back! Come on in, have a seat. Before we get started, let's have a brief pause in memory of those who died on 9/11..... BDH and Little Buddha were just examining my head. I bumped it pretty hard against the dresser last night, and it's still a little sore. Everything will be fine, but if there are a few words missing here today, you'll know why. The guys don't think that's funny, but they know just what I need: coffee. I won't argue with that. They put a fresh pot on the table, so grab yourself a... Read more →
