The Clearing out the Clutter staff is finally starting to come to terms with the fact that summer is over.  That means we now have time to properly focus on the important things in life, like the fact that the new season of Doctor Who is right around the corner!  (It's all about priorities, you know.)  The BBC just released the second trailer for the 13th Doctor, so let's have a look:

Quick Thoughts:

• In this time of well-publicized change, it's nice to know one thing about the show remains the same:  There's a lot of running.

• Again, the visuals look fantastic, which has been a consistent theme in all of the promotional materials so far. 

• It's good to see the latest sonic screwdriver in action.  We never get tired of hearing that sound.

• Interesting to hear the Doctor say, "I'm just a traveler."  Does she have a new feeling about her role in the universe?   It was time to retire the "madman in a blue box" line anyway.

• Who/what is the Doctor backing away from/bidding farewell to?  Will one of the companions not last the entire season?  If that ends up being the case, who will be this year's Adric?

• It doesn't look like they' re going to be stuck on Earth all season, and we hope it doesn't take too long for 13 to be reunited with the TARDIS (which we would argue is the true hero of the show.)

• Two suns?  Are we going to Gallifrey?

• We're curious about the music.  Is the show shifting to a more contemporary soundtrack, or is that just for the promos?

• We're eager to see how 13 comes together and becomes "the Doctor," both in the premiere and moving forward.  There are all sorts of exciting options available for Jodie Whittaker to leave her mark on this familiar role.

So many questions, and we won't have to wait much longer to start getting answers.  We'll see you all back here again soon!
