The First Look at "The Woman Who Fell to Earth"
09/30/2018
This is it, Doctor Who fans, we're heading into the final stretch before the debut of the 13th Doctor on October 7! Good thing too, because the staff were starting to climb the walls around here. The BBC has released a clip from #13's first adventure, "The Woman Who Fell to Earth," and we're off to to a strong start! (Here's a spoiler-free review of the first episode.)
This is the clip that leaked earlier this year, but now it's been touched up, and get our first real peek of the Doctor back in action as she meets her soon-to-be companions Yasmin and Ryan. (Looks like we'll have to wait to see how Graham joins the group.) Take a look:
Quick verdict: We love it! Jodie Whittaker shows flashes of David Tennant, with the accent of Christopher Eccleston, as she continues to adjust to her recent regeneration and discovers that she has in fact become a woman. The transition period is always fun to watch, but what we'll really be looking for is that moment in the episode where the dust settles, and she takes full control of the role. After that, it's game on!
