Don't be Bullied Into "Civility"
Wednesday Clutter: Important Progressive Primary Win, Supreme Court Shame, Boston Red Sox, Beastie Boys, and more

Tuesday Clutter: Robert Mueller, Harley-Davison, Instagram, Wells Fargo, Guardians of the Galaxy, Denzel Washington, Pantera, and more

Hi everyone,

Welcome back!  Come on in, have a seat.  BDH and Little Buddha were just bird-watching and talking about how important it is to enjoy the good weather before the heat wave arrives over the weekend.  I'm going to have to set their fans up before Saturday.  Other than that, it's a quiet morning around here at the moment.  How about we check out some headlines?  The coffee is ready, so help yourself to a nice medium DD, and let's clear out some Tuesday Clutter.

Robert Mueller is now reportedly looking into Erik Prince as the Russia investigation continues to expand.  Prince is the founder of Blackwater, the infamous private military contractor, as well as the brother of Trump's education secretary Betsy DeVos.  Apparently Mueller's team believes there are some inconsistencies in Prince's testimony before the U.S. House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence last November regarding a secret meeting in Russia.  Given Prince's background, he's one of the rare targets that Trump can't immediately disavow and blast on Twitter, so the assumption is that the Great Pumpkin will complain about "unfair" treatment instead.

Is Sarah Huckabee Sanders falling out of favor with Trump?  That's a shame.

A small bit of good news for decent people:  As Congress winds down for the year before the mid-term elections, Trump's legislative agenda could be coming to a screeching halt.  If nothing else, we can start talking about slowing down the damage being inflicted on the country.  Hey,  you gotta start somewhere.

Also, this is your reminder that Election Day is 19 weeks from today.  Mark your calendars.

Donald Trump has been starting trade wars to protect American jobs, so it totally makes sense that Harley-Davidson is now moving jobs out of this country in direct response to Trump's new tariffs.  The man fails at every possible opportunity.  It's a like a quest for the Great Pumpkin.

This is interesting:  The FDA approved a marijuana-based anti-seizure medicine.  That decision seems to make it likely that the feds will have to reclassify pot since they've now found a medical use for it.

Anyone want to take a guess at how much Instagram is estimated to be worth?  All we'll say is that there is a lot of money in those pictures.

We might sound like a broken record on this one, but the issue keeps coming up.  If you're a Wells Fargo customer, our advice to you is this:  Take your money and run.  The bank has seemingly looked for every possible way to rip people off, and while their current ads sound all contrite, history says the next scandal is right around the corner.

General Electric is undergoing a major identity change.

It's surprising to hear that Los Angeles Angels star Mike Trout has never hit a home run in Fenway Park.  The Boston Red Sox and the Angels start a three-game series tonight, and we're hoping Trout doesn't finally add Fenway to his list while we're sitting in the stands, which probably means he'll hit a moonshot off David Price in his first at-bat.

Speaking of the Red Sox and Fenway Park, it's a little disappointing we weren't included in this fun photo feature about life in the bleachers, but we'll recover.  Fun fact:  Picture #23 is just about four rows in front of our seats.

Just like the song says, what goes up must come down, unless it's a foul ball from Curtis Granderson.

Congratulations to Houston Rockets star James Harden on winning the 2017-2018 NBA MVP Award.  On the other hand, we're not sure how Philadelphia's Ben Simmons won Rookie of the Year since  he wasn't a rookie last season, and we're pretty sure some guy named Jayson Tatum was better, but hey, that's just us.

Kudos as well to James Gunn for finishing the script for Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3., an announcement which will trigger all sorts of speculation. We are going to go out on a limb and assume this means that some of the characters recover from their apparent fates in Avengers: Infinity War.

There's a new trailer out for the upcoming Denzel Washington movie, The Equalizer 2.  We're not feeling this one at all, but what do you think?  Take a look:

Heather Locklear's troubles continue.  We hope the actress can get the help she needs.

Okay kids, that's going to do it for now.  In honor of the late Vinnie Paul, here's Pantera to close things out for us with, "Cowboys From Hell," for today's, "Song of the Day."

Thanks for stopping by, everyone.  It was great to see you, as always.  Enjoy the rest of your day, be good, and we'll catch up with you again for more fun soon.  Until next time, that's today's Clearing out the Clutter, and we are outta here.
