There's a growing sense of sadness at Clutter Headquarters over the fact that the season finale of Doctor Who, which is also Peter Capaldi's final regular adventure as the Doctor, is coming on Saturday. The staff is already developing a bit of withdrawal, but fortunately, we've found a remedy. As Doctor Who wraps up, the final season of Broadchurch begins on BBC America! That should help us get through the next two months. It's always a pleasure to see David Tennant and Olivia Colman on the screen again, so let's begin... Synopsis: There's been a sexual assault in the town... Read more →

Hi everyone, Welcome back, and a very happy Friday to all of you! So, we're at the halfway point of 2017, huh? That went by quickly. How's your year going so far? I think I'd give it a B+ at this point. Some major points were deducted for all of the stress around the Clutter Tree, but gardening time is always a plus, and things generally seem okay at the moment, so yeah, B+. Oh, BDH and Little Buddha say I shouldn't forget the quality coffee that they make. Yes, points to you guys as well. Speaking of coffee, we've... Read more →

Hi everyone, Welcome back! Come on in, make yourself comfortable. How's everything going? No complaints on this end. We've got a number of fun projects coming up here over the next few weeks, so BDH and Little Buddha are helping me work out a schedule for everything. Don't worry, though. They also made some coffee! There's a fresh pot ready to go, so help yourself to a nice medium DD, and let's clear out some Thursday Clutter. The Boston Red Sox lost 4-1 to the Minnesota Twins last night. Rick Porcello fell to 4-10 on the season, as he gave... Read more →

Hi everyone, Welcome back! How are you? I spent most of the day yesterday waiting for some steady rain to fall, but we just got a couple of light showers instead. That wasn't enough for the garden, so I brought out the hose around 6:00 and started to give the plants a serious watering. Everything was fine, until with about five minutes of watering left, I started to realize how dark it was suddenly getting. With about two minutes left, I looked up and saw lightning in the distance, with the thunder not that far behind. I quickly finished up... Read more →

Hi everyone, Welcome back! How are you? We're just listening to the birds chirping at the moment while we wait for this afternoon's rain to arrive. At least, I hope it's going to arrive. We got some last night, but I don't think it was enough for the garden, so I'll have to do some watering later if this forecast is wrong. Other than that, things are pretty good. BDH and Little Buddha are working on a number of things that you'll see here in the next few weeks, so keep an eye out for those. In the meantime, we've... Read more →

Hi everyone, Welcome back! Come on in, have a seat. How are you? How was your weekend? Everything is fine here at the moment. The garden looks great, and the sun is shining, so that's a solid start to the week! Dad Clutter made a feast on the grill last night, so I'm not sure I'll be eating again at any point this week. However, we still need coffee. Fortunately, there's a fresh pot ready to go! Help yourself to a nice medium DD, and let's clear out some Monday Clutter. The Boston Red Sox lost 4-2 to the Los... The Doctor thinks it's time to test Missy to prove she can be good. He has her, along with Bill and Nardole, respond to a distress call from a ship trying to escape from a black hole, and that's when things go very, very wrong. It's part one of Peter Capaldi's final regular season adventure. Are you ready? (Warning: Spoilers ahead.) Observations: I'm not ready for this! I don't want Peter Capaldi to leave! How do we slow time down a bit, besides staying close to a black hole? "World Enough and Time" was written by showrunner Steven Moffat and... Read more →

Hi everyone, Welcome back! Come on in, have a seat. How are you? Things are fine on this end at the moment. This building renovation project is going to drive me insane. I was told by the property manager that the scaffolding would be up for about three weeks. First off, that's just straight wrong. Second, it looks like it will be even longer than normal for us because Clutter Headquarters is on the corner of the building. Long story short, my math says we're looking at closer to nine weeks in total. Nine weeks of these stupid platforms right... Read more →

We were roaming through the Internet and stumbled across Chris Cornell's final music video, which was released on Tuesday. It's for a song called, "The Promise," and Cornell originally wrote this tune for the 2016 movie by the same name about the Armenian genocide. Chris Cornell delivers a moving final message. (pic via There was an earlier video for this song that highlighted the movie. This version has a larger vision. Cornell wanted it released on June 20, which was this year's annual World Refugee Day." Observed by the UN Refugee Agency, the day is designed to, "commemorate the... Read more →

Hi everyone, Welcome back! How are you? Question - is there a job with a lower expected accuracy rate than weathermen? For at least 24 hours, the forecasts indicated that yesterday would be non-stop rain from about Noon until sometime early this morning. There were repeated warnings on the radio about "the storm." I ran around in the morning trying to get all of my errands done before the downpours hit, and then the start time moved from Noon to 4:30....there was some rain for about 20 minutes...and then nothing again until somewhere around 8:00, I think...and that...
