Thursday Clutter
07/11/2013
Hi everyone,
How are you? Staying cool? I'm telling you, wearing a suit in this weather makes for the easiest diet in the history of the world. BDH and Little Buddha tell me I don't need to lose weight. I tell them I don't have a choice. The Clutter Tree could use some rain, and it seems like there's been a 30% chance of showers for about three weeks, but I don't think it's actually happened. Anytime now would be just fine. Anyway, enough of that. Help yourself to a nice medium iced DD, and make yourself comfortable, because it's time to clear out some Thursday Clutter.
In case you missed it Tuesday night, the Big Papi News Desk would like to take a moment to point out that David Ortiz is still pretty awesome, and no matter how many times we say it, teams still don't listen: You gotta watch out for that sneaky speed. Papi can kick it up a gear and steal a base or hit a triple if you're not paying attention.

Congratulations to Boston Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask who snagged himself an 8-year/$56 million contract extension. Certainly not cheap, but it says there that Rask will prove himself worthy of the contract.
Accused Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was in court yesterday and pled "not guilty" to 30 charges. My question at the moment is how could they possibly find enough people to fill a jury box for this trial? If a person really hasn't heard anything about this case, they have to be so disconnected from the world that it's hard to imagine how they could arrive at a reality-based decision.
The stock market took a brief pause from its latest rally yesterday. I have no idea what that means for the long haul, but I had a few extra dollars handy, so I threw them into the vast Clutter portfolio for what I'm sure will be a tremendous payoff 30 years down the road.
The U.S Senate had a plan to prevent student loan interest rates from doubling for a year, and that plan had majority support in the chamber, so you know how this story ends: The GOP killed it with a filibuster. I mean, if these kids can't afford so much debt, maybe they just shouldn't go to college, right? The top 1% always needs a poorly-educated workforce to serve at its mercy, so hey, it will work out in the long run.
This is a new one: Republican Senator Mike Lee (Utah) objects to President Obama trying to fill several vacancies in the federal court system. Not that Senator Lee objects to the nominees, mind you. He objects to the president trying to make appointments. I mean, it's not like it's in the U.S. Constitution or anything. Oh wait. Friends, you can't make this stuff up. This is isn't about simple partisan politics, the GOP is trying to hijack the government from every angle.
Oh hey, check this out, we're getting some rain now. That's the power of Clutter, folks. All we have to do is write the words, and the world responds. It's a pretty awesome power.
Friends, you know that Clutter runs on Dunkin, but what do you think, should we try Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer's new coffee?
I have no idea why Donovan McNabb thinks anyone should care about his disapproval of Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford's new contract extension.
The new character on Two and a Half Men will be gay, but no worries, I'm sure the show will handle that with their usual sensible touch, right?
Okay kids, that's going to do it for now. What do you get when you take coffee magnate Joey Kramer, add an intro by Tom Hamilton (a key figure in one of the greatest Classic Clutter posts ever), and throw in the rest of Aerosmith at the "Boston Strong" concert? You get today's, "Song of the Day, because screw Dzokhar Tsarnaev.
Thanks for stopping by, everyone. It was great to see you, as always. Enjoy the rest of your day, and make sure to come back for more fun soon. Until next time, that's today's Clutter, and we are outta here.
