Hi everyone, How are you? Still hanging in there? This heat wave has to break at some point, right? There was an unexpected benefit to yesterday's sauna. I had no interest in going outside at any point in the day, so I just sat in my office and cleared through the work on my desk without a problem while enjoying the A/C. Hopefully it won't be "too" hot tonight, because Dad Clutter and I are heading to Fenway Park to see the Boston Red Sox start the second half of the season against the New York Yankees. However, before that... Read more →

Hi everyone, Welcome back. The A/C is on high, and the iced coffee is ready, so make yourself comfortable, and let's clear out some Thursday Clutter. Oh the GOP isn't going to like this: Obamacare will lower health care insurance costs by 50% in New York. I can't wait to hear how they try to claim this is a failure of some sort. Sorry, my bad, they'll just be explaining how taking their 38th vote on repealing Obamacare is anything besides pathetic. Equality continues to spread across the globe, as England and Wales legalized same-sex marriage yesterday. Congratulations to the... Read more →

Hi everyone, Welcome back. Are we having fun yet? Oy is it hot out. I know, that's what happens in the summer, but still, it's such a challenge to stay hydrated/not sweat through my suit. I know I said yesterday that I should be allowed to go to work in a t-shirt and shorts, but now I'm thinking I should just be allowed to telecommute instead. BDH and Little Buddha think that's a great idea, and they've offered to talk to my boss about it. Who could say no to these two? We have some work to do before they... Read more →

Hi everyone, Welcome back. How are we doing? My biggest accomplishment yesterday was not being drenched in sweat all day, so I'm feeling pretty good about that. I still don't see what would be wrong with me going to work in a Van Halen t-shirt and shorts, but apparently that wouldn't meet the dress code. Fine. We've got plenty to get through today, so help yourself to a nice medium iced DD, and let's clear out a little Tuesday Clutter. President Obama honored former President George H.W. Bush during a ceremony celebrating volunteerism yesterday. I didn't like anything about Bush's... Read more →

Monday Night Clutter: Thanks, old friend

Hi everyone, I'm still trying to figure out what happened here. I'd love to hear your thoughts. It's been almost two weeks since I switched to an iPhone, and I can't tell a lie, I still sort of miss my BlackBerry. The iPhone has all of the bells and whistles that I thought it would, and it takes nice pictures and all that, but I still can't get over how short the battery life is, I don't like that the instruction "manual" doesn't explain how to do anything besides turn it on and access iTunes, and as far as I... Hi everyone, Welcome back. How are you? How was your weekend? I had a good time, as usual, helping Dad Clutter park cars for the NH NASCAR race yesterday. He's got a large crew of "regulars," who park in his driveway, and most of them are very nice. It's always a surprisingly tiring activity, which makes me think I may need to be hitting the gym or bike a little more often. So, that was fun, but it was nice to come home and see that BDH and Little Buddha left Clutter Headquarters in one piece while I was gone.... Read more →

Hi everyone, Welcome back, and a happy Saturday to you all. It's almost time for me to head off to Dad Clutter's to help him park cars during this weekend's NASCAR race in New Hampshire. I've gone over the rules of the house with BDH and Little Buddha. They tell me they just want to relax for the weekend, so maybe they'll read a book. We'll see how that works out. For now, help yourself to a nice medium iced DD, and let's clear out some Saturday Clutter. There's no verdict yet in the George Zimmerman case, yet it's impossible... Read more →

Hi everyone, Happy Friday! I didn't think this day was ever going to get here. Did this week seem about a month long, or was that just me? Maybe I'm just tired from pushing way through this soupy air. Anyway, the week is almost done, and then tomorrow I'm off to Dad Clutter's house for the first NASCAR visit of the year. For those of you who might not have heard about this before, Dad Clutter parks cars on his driveway for people who are attending the NASCAR race at the New Hampshire International Speedway, and I help him out... (Updated) Classic Clutter: The Big Papi News Desk

Hi everyone, Since David Ortiz has now been selected for his 9th All Star team and become the all-time leader in career hits for a designated hitter, this seemed like a good time to look back and see how far he's rebounded from the dark days of 2009, and to also look at what led to the creation of the Big Papi News Desk, which is celebrating its fourth anniversary. Originally published: August 4, 2009 (I started writing this a few weeks ago and didn’t get around to editing it before last week’s news about the 2003 test, which will... Read more →

Hi everyone, How are you? Staying cool? I'm telling you, wearing a suit in this weather makes for the easiest diet in the history of the world. BDH and Little Buddha tell me I don't need to lose weight. I tell them I don't have a choice. The Clutter Tree could use some rain, and it seems like there's been a 30% chance of showers for about three weeks, but I don't think it's actually happened. Anytime now would be just fine. Anyway, enough of that. Help yourself to a nice medium iced DD, and make yourself comfortable, because it's... Read more →
