Wednesday Clutter

Hi everyone,

Welcome back.  How are you?  Come on in, make yourself comfortable.  We're just about to get started here, so help yourself to a nice medium DD, and let's clear out some Wednesday Clutter.

BDH, Little Buddha and I appreciated that the Boston Bruins beat the Chicago Blackhawks 2-0 in a relatively stress-free game on Monday (and more importantly, that they did it in regulation.)  The Bruins are now halfway home with a 2-1 lead in the Stanley Cup finals, and here's hoping for more of the same tonight.  It's hard to get these guys to sleep when they're all revved up from watching these games, so help me out here, B's!

Really not liking the news that Boston Red Sox analyst Jerry Remy will be out yet another week, presumably due to health-related issues.  He was originally only expected to miss a few days at the end of May, but he hasn't been back yet, and there's been little word about his health.  This has a bad feeling of deja vu all over again.  The public certainly has no right to expect an update about his health, but I hope we hear some good news soon.

New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez is being questioned in a murder investigation.  Ummm, what?

The trade with the LA Clippers may or may not be dead, but I still can't see how Doc Rivers could possibly come back as head coach of the Boston Celtics, so let's wrap this whole thing up soon and find out who will lead the team next year.

The Congressional Budget Office says that the current immigration reform bill would shave roughly $1 trillion off of the federal deficit.  Meanwhile, House Republicans continue to look for ways to kill the bill while still wondering why they don't do well with minority voters.

Oh and never forget that the House GOP neeeeeeds you to understand how little they respect women.

Condolences to the family and friends of Rolling Stone writer Michael Hastings, who died in a car crash.  Hastings, who was perhaps best known for his scathing profile of General Stanley McChrystal, was only 33 years old.

I'm sorry to hear that Kevin Youkilis will be out for the next 10-12 weeks (and really likely the rest of the season) to undergo back surgery.  I know he's with the bleeping Yankees, and I think it was the right move to trade him last year, but I always felt he was a consistent role model for all guys with back problems who sweat a lot at the drop of a hat.  I don't know how much Youuuuk has left in the tank, but I wish him a speedy recovery.

Congratulations to former Doctor Who star/Clutter favorite? and now Emmy award winner David Tennant!  There's really nothing this man can't do.

Have you ever found yourself arguing with your friends about the connection between Jennifer Garner's marriage to Ben Affleck and the 2004 Boston Red Sox?  Well, let there be peace, my friends!  The actress really couldn't come off worse in this article.  Check out this insane quote:

There’s something about Boston fans, they really think they can control it by what shirt they wear and where they sit — the whole thing.

Are you kidding me?  "Think" they can control it?  We know we can control it, lady!  I have no doubt that the Red Sox won the World Series because I locked into the winning routine of where to sit/place my food and when to check my email while they were playing the St. Louis Cardinals.  "Think."  Please, don't insult me.

Okay kids, that's going to do it for now.  There's truly no stopping David Tennant, and my guess is that his next award could be a Grammy.  See for yourself with his moving performance in today's, "Song of the Day."

Thanks for stopping by, everyone.  It was great to see you as always, and we hope you'll come back again for more fun soon.  For now, that's today's Clutter, and we have no boots, but we are outta here.
