Saturday Clutter
06/15/2013
Hi everyone,
How are you? We're off to a great start in Baltimore so far this weekend, at least as far as food goes. There was some jambalaya that was pretty good, but then the crab cake. Oh, the crab cake. We found a place called Mo's, and their jumbo lump crab cake is just outstanding. We split the crab cake in half, and even that was enough to be filling. Strongly recommended. What's also recommended is that you help yourself to a nice medium DD, because it's time to clear out a little Tuesday Clutter.
Okay, enough of the Boston Red Sox being beaten by the Baltimore Orioles, this time losing 2-0 last night. I'm here to root you on in person, guys, so let's take care of business for the next two days, and I'm particularly hoping that David Ortiz will give the Big Papi News Desk something fun to write about tomorrow.
Jose Iglesias simply refuses to let the Boston Red Sox send him back to the minor leagues again, suddenly learning how to hit like a big leaguer for the time being, so someone's got to go to make a space for Iglesias on the roster. It's nothing personal, just business.
It speaks volumes about the GOP that probably the biggest "compromise" they've made on a still-obviously unconstiutional anti-abortion bill in years was to include language that exempted victims of rape and incest. Yup, that's their big step forward. They'll still continue to attack a woman's right to make her own decisions at every opportunity with a passion that crosses into fanaticism, but they'll be the bigger men and make an exception in this one case for women in these terrible siutations. Oh, and that's only because they were shamed into it after the bill's lead sponsor became the latest member of the party to babble some nonsense about rapes rarely leading to pregnancies. And these guys still wonder why they are currently doing so poorly with women voters.
Condolences to Stephen Colbert on the death of his mother yesterday. Lorna Colbert was 92 years old.
Will the stock market settle down at all after Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke speaks publicly next week, or are we in for some more choppy seas? I need to know what to do with the massive Clutter Inc. cash reserves, so help a mogul out, man!

Major League Baseball handed out the suspensions and fines for the Arizona Diamondbacks - Los Angles Dodgers brawl from earlier this week. Did Diamondbacks pitcher Ian Kennedy get a harsher punishment than others, as Clutter argued for since he intentionally threw at the heads of two batters?
Okay kids, I've got to go. The Internet connection in the hotel seems to be acting up, and I might be pushing my luck if I try to go much longer. In honor of this weekend's adventures, here are the Counting Crows with today's, "Song of the Day."
Thanks for stopping by, everyone. It was great to hang out, as always. Enjoy the rest of your day, and we'll see you back here again for more fun soon. Until next time, that's today's Clutter, and we are outta here.
