Hi everyone, Yesterday's Clutter bit about Mike Lowell working with current Boston Red Sox third baseman Will Middlebrooks had me thinking all day about one of my most favorite nights since I moved to Boston. Check out today's Classic Clutter to see why I had so much fun. Be sure to check out my profound words of wisdom to Big Papi. Hi everyone, Welcome back to Clutter Headquarters! Come on in, make yourself comfortable. How are you? BDH and Little Buddha have the coffee ready, so help yourself to a nice medium DD, and let's clear out a little Wednesday Clutter. The Senate finally approved Chuck Hagel as the new secretary of defense after a two week filibuster by the GOP that had no purpose. Yeah, because that's a position you want to waste time with. It may surprise you, but we do like to praise Republicans when we can around here, they just don't give us much to work with.... Read more →

I don’t watch many award shows anymore. I used to when I was a kid, but as I’ve gotten older, it’s become harder to convince myself that it’s a good use of time. I might channel surf and catch five minutes here and there, but that’s about it. That was the plan last night as the Oscars went up against the second Doctor Who special of the year. However, it quickly became apparent that I wouldn’t be able to keep up with Patrick Troughton’s adventure that way, so the DVR recorded that while I settled in to watch Hollywood congratulate... Hi everyone, Welcome back! How's your week going so far? We got off to a rough start here yesterday. I stayed up too late to watch the end of the nine-hour Oscars ceremony, and then my back flared up for no apparent reason. It felt like sciatica. BDH and Little Buddha tried to help by walking on my back, but they weigh less than an ounce between the two of them, so that didn't fix it, though I love them for trying. It got to the point where first, I tried to sleep sitting up, because that was the only... Read more →

Hi everyone, Welcome back. How are you? What's the plan for the week, anything exciting? Help yourself to a nice fresh medium DD, because it's time to clear out the Monday Clutter. It was disappointing that the Boston Red Sox weren't on TV again yesterday. I don't really understand what the criteria is for games that are covered. Do they all have to be at Fort Myers? Seems like a Sunday game would do a decent rating on NESN. Anyway, I'm sorry to miss any game, plus I would have liked to see Jon Lester's perfect two innings, as the... Read more →

Hi everyone, Welcome back. What a dreary day outside. Still no sign of that snow so far, all we've had is some rain. That's always good for the Clutter Tree, though, so I guess I shouldn't complain. What I really need to do is stop watching the weather forecast. I might be surprised every once in a while, but that would be better than waiting for storms that never come. Anyway, enough complaining. BDH and Little Buddha just made a fresh pot of coffee, so help yourself to a nice medium DD, and let's clear out a little Sunday Clutter.... Read more →

Hi everyone, Welcome back! Come on in, make yourself comfortable. How's your day going so far? I was out the door early this morning to make sure that I could get to the gym and do a grocery shopping before the next round of snow came. Now I see that it's not supposed to start until sometime around 5:00, and I'm starting to wonder if the whole thing has been over-hyped again. However, that's fine, because this has already been a good day. First off, BDH got a birthday gift certificate in the mail for a free medium coffee from... Read more →

Friday Clutter

Hi everyone, Welcome back, and a happy Friday to you all! Did you make it through the shortened week okay? I still felt like I was playing catch-up the entire time, but everything seems to have gone smoothly in the end. BDH and Little Buddha made sure we're all set for this weekend's supposed storm. We have food, cards, books, and obviously plenty of coffee, though I do have get beer later. However, let's focus on the here and now, so help yourself to a nice fresh medium DD, because it's time to clear out a little Clutter. Former cop... Read more →

Hi everyone, Welcome back to Clutter Headquarters. Come on in, make yourself comfortable. BDH and Little Buddha are thrilled to see you, as always. They've already made the coffee, so help yourself to a nice fresh medium DD, and let's clear out a little Thursday Clutter while the two of them make a shopping list in preparation for the next storm. I'm glad to hear that the NY Times Company is looking to sell The Boston Globe. It's never sat right with me that such a fundamental component of the Boston media should be owned by someone from New York.... Read more →

Hi everyone, How are you? How's your week going so far? I always feel like I'm playing catch-up when a three-day weekend includes a Monday. On the flip side, Friday is already that much closer, so I guess it all balances out in the end. BDH and Little Buddha are reminding me to focus on living in the present, and they're right, as usual. So, help yourself to a nice medium DD, and let's clear out a little Wednesday Clutter. What are the odds that Cardinal Sean O'Malley is really a contender to be the next pope? Is this like...
