Sunday Clutter

Hi everyone, Come on in, let me take your coat. If you don't mind taking off your shoes too, that would be great. Did last night's storm impact you? It seemed to be much lighter here than in other communities. The biggest issue here was that BDH and Little Buddha had to stay inside for Halloween, so we just went room to room picking up candy. I didn't think much of it, until somewhere around 10:30 p.m., when my Facebook and Twitter feeds suddenly started filling up with people talking about power outages. My main concern was the Clutter Tree,... Read more →

Monday Clutter

Hi everyone, Happy Halloween! Help yourself to some candy if you like. Don't worry, BDH and Little Buddha have their own stash, and they know this bowl is for our friends. What's the plan for the week? It's amazing that we're heading into the final stretch of 2011, with tomorrow being November 1st and all. What needs to happen to make sure we end the year on a high note? Think that over while you grab a nice medium DD (with maybe a few peanut M &M's), and we clear out a little randomness. Here we go... Is Hermain Cain's... Read more →

Saturday Clutter

Hi everyone, It's good to see you again! Come on in, let me take your coat and umbrella. Sorry we're late getting to the Clutter today. I decided to go to the gym and then do a food shopping first before it started to rain, which looks like it was the right decision. It's gross out there. Make yourself comfortable, and I'll grab us some coffee. While I do that, can you do me a favor and help BDH with his current project? Cool, thanks. Ahh, that's much better. Are you ready? Here we go... Congratulations to the St. Louis... Read more →

Friday Clutter

Hi everyone, It's Friday, so you know what that means. Yes, it's time for Friday Clutter! Cue the inspirational music, grab a nice medium DD, and let's do what we do so randomly... First off, have you helped BDH with his great quest yet? How could you possibly say no to such a cute little dog? I'll bet you can't guess why House Speaker John Boehner rejected a $3 trillion deficit reduction proposal from the Democrats. Go on, guess. You'll be shocked. The latest polls show Mitt Romney with a huge lead in New Hampshire, but Granite State voters usually... Read more →

Thursday Clutter

Hi everyone It's good to see you again! Sorry about yesterday, you know how much we hate not being able to clear out Clutter with you. BDH was cranky all day. He got into his head that this was some sort of punishment, and then I had to explain to him the concept of a "mortgage." He just looked up at me and smiled, but I'm not sure I got through to him. In any case, you're here, we're here, the medium DD is here, so let's move on and get down to business... A political earthquake hit Massachusetts yesterday... Read more →

Classic Clutter: A Night at the Park

Hi everyone, Thanks for stopping by. The real world prevents me from getting to today's headlines, so it's time for another edition of Classic Clutter. Given the dueling Theo Epstein/Ben Cherington press conferences yesterday, it seemed appropriate to go back to a simpler time. A time when the Red Sox were clearly going to the postseason, and Tito and Terry would be here forever. Oh, those were the days. I like this piece because I sound like an excited little kid here, and that's the feeling I get every time I go to Fenway. Enjoy this look back, and don't... Read more →

Tuesday Clutter

Hi everyone, How are you? Come on in. It's great to see you as always. The coffee is just about ready, so grab yourself a cup, say hi to BDH and Little Buddha, and let's clear out some Clutter... Libya's interim president suggests Moammar Gadhafi might have been shot by his own supporters, and says, "Oh by the way, we might be a stricter Islamic country now." Said everyone at Nato, "Wait, what?" President Obama announces a new program to help "underwater" homeowners refinance their mortgages. I know my conservative friends will say we can't afford health care reform, but... Read more →

Monday Clutter

Hi everyone, How are you? Yes, I know, it's Monday again. Where did the weekend go? Oh well, grab yourself a medium DD, and let's kick off the week by clearing out a little Clutter. The Boston Globe is running a series on the pervasive mislabling of fish due to lax government oversight, so consumers are being overcharged for lower quality fish, which in some cases could also make them ill. I'm guessing restaurants in the area won't be selling much of it this week. Stronger regulations are clearly called for here, though I can already hear the GOP mocking... Read more →

Sunday Clutter

Hi everyone, How are you? How's your weekend been so far? Come on in, come on in. Let me grab a few more chairs. What's the plan for the day since the Patriots aren't playing? Are you doing something outside or just watching the other football games? Well, before we get to that, grab yourself a coffee, and let's clear out a little Sunday Clutter. Thank you to everyone who has already tweeted pitcher Dirk Hayhurst to ask him to send Clutter an advance copy of his new book. BDH is very grateful to you, and he would pour you... Read more →
