Youk Got What I Need

Hi everyone, The real world prevents me from getting to today's headlines this morning. I hate when that happens, but hey, Clutter Headquarters doesn't pay for itself. Hopefully we'll be able to have some fun with the news later today, but in the meantime, enjoy this musical tribute to Kevin Youkilis. I think I'm still feeling the effects of the Red Sox - Angels game from May 5th this year. That was the one that had about a nine hour rain delay that left me completely soaked, and ended at 2:45 in the morning. I've just never been right since... Read more →

Tuesday Clutter

Hi everyone, A happy Tuesday to you all. I'm still horrified that September is within sight. It's close to being a panic attack for me. I'm much more of a spring-summer person than a fall-winter guy. However, today's supposed to be another gorgeous day, so I'm trying to focus on that instead. Make yourselves comfortable. Let's find our happy places, grab a cup off coffee, and then jump in to some of the last Clutter for the month of August. Ready? Here we go... There are still more than 500,000 Massachusetts residents who are without power in the aftermath of... Read more →

Monday Clutter

Hi everyone, Come on in, come on in. Well that was some weekend. Is everyone okay? It's so nice and sunny outside, you'd have no idea we just had a little adventure. That's remarkable. It's almost enough to distract me from the fact that we're heading into the final days of August this week. Where the hell did this month/summer go? I'm going to need a cup of coffee before I can process that. Come join me, and then we'll kick off the end of the month with a little Clutter. Irene may have been downgraded to a tropical storm... I really have to learn to read just enough weather advisories to be prepared and then find something else to do. I spent way too much time over the last few days looking at warnings from the National Weather Service that repeatedly included the words, "snapped limbs," and "uprooted trees." I worked myself into a complete frenzy that something bad might happen to the beloved Clutter Tree. I have to switch over to ESPN.com next time or something. The Clutter Tree, on the other hand, didn't worry about Irene for a second. It swayed back and forth and banged against... Read more →

Sunday Clutter

Hello everyone, And how is today treating you so far? It's windy and rainy here at Clutter Headquarters. BDH and Little Buddha did a great job keeping an eye on things while I was sleeping, so now they're off to bed while I take the morning shift. I was up later than usual last night (for reasons we'll get into in a second), so it will probably be a multi-coffee day while I keep an eye on the Clutter Tree and clear out some Clutter. Hey, just because it's pouring with heavy winds doesn't mean that the work stops around... Read more →

Saturday Clutter

Hi folks, Come on in, come on in. Are you all set for Irene? You're welcome to stay at Clutter Headquarters if you like. BDH and Little Buddha are always happy to have new friends to play with.I just did a quick grocery shopping (and ran into two friends I haven't seen in a long time, which was nice), so help yourself to a nice medium DD, and let's clear out some Clutter while we wait for the fun to begin. Everyone in Red Sox Nation was really hoping last night would finally be the night that Tim Wakefield would... Read more →

Friday Clutter

Hi everyone, Hey, you're back! You're here, BDH, Little Buddha and I are here, and it's a sunny Friday. That calls for a cup of coffee to celebrate. No, really, I insist! I have no idea where this week went, but never mind that, it's time to wrap up the week with a little Clutter. Adrian Gonzalez hit two more home runs last night, giving him five in the last three games, so I guess his neck is feeling better. Add to that home runs by Big Papi and Jarrod Saltalamachia and an outstanding performance by pitcher Andrew Miller, and... Read more →

Thursday Clutter

Hi everyone, Happy Thursday to you all. It's true, the weekend is right around the corner, and it certainly sounds like it's going to be an adventure. Let's grab some coffee, clear out some Clutter, and then make sure we're prepared for our visitor, shall we? I guess we can stop talking about how the Red Sox can't beat the Texas Rangers, now that Boston pounded them for the second time in a row by a score of 13-2 last night. The Sox bats are back with a vengeance as Carl Crawford had 5 RBI (including a homer), Big Papi... Read more →

Wednesday Clutter

Hi everyone, Come on in, I was just making some coffee. How's the week treating you so far? What have you been up to since the last time I saw you? Oh, the coffee's ready. Have a seat, make yourself comfortable, and let's clear out a little Clutter. Mom Clutter asked me yesterday how hard it would be for the Red Sox to win last night's game against the Texas Rangers. I said, the bats are sound asleep, and John Lackey struggles in Texas, so it would be an uphill battle. Of course, that meant that the Red Sox offense... Read more →

Tuesday Clutter

Hi everyone, Come on in. Thanks for stopping by! It's a beautiful day outside. Do you want some coffee? Help yourself to a cup, and then let's check out today's randomness. Sound like a plan? Excellent. Are you ready, BDH and Little Buddha? We're all good? Okay, here we go... Erik Bedard has yet to win a game as a member of the Boston Red Sox, but I still think he's done a solid job of filling in for Clay Buchholz since he's been here. He gave up four runs last night, but seemed to be in control for most... Read more →
