March 2011

Hi everyone, Welcome back. I can't believe it's Thursday already. It seems like it was just Wednesday yesterday. Man the time flies by. In any case, it's a new day, the Clutter Tree is growing its leaves, and BDH is running around the place like he's already had four medium DD's. I'm only going to have one for now. Won't you join me? Let's dig in. I feel like President Obama's authorization of assistance for the Libyan rebels isn't that "covert" if it's on the front page of every news web site. Applause for Boston City Councilor Ayanna Pressley for... Read more →

Wednesday Clutter

Hi folks, It is indeed Wednesday, congratulations on making it to another hump day! There are rumors of a nor'easter on Friday, but as long as the Red Sox start their season in Texas that day, it's all good. Until then, grab yourself a medium DD, and let's do this thing. House Democrats are still debating whether or not to put forth their own version of a budget...sigh...really? Still debating about whether or not this is a good idea? The House has been taken over by extremists who care about absolutely nothing but giving as much money as they can... Read more →

Tuesday Clutter

Hi everyone, How are you? What's new? I know you're anxious to jump into the fun, so grab yourself a nice medium DD, and let's see what's going on today. New birther/supposed possible GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump apparently doesn't have the strongest grasp of what's an "official birth certificate." How many weeks are left in "Celebrity Apprentice?" I imagine that's when this press blitz by The Donald will wrap up and we can turn to more viable candidates like Rick Santorum, who compared homosexuality to bestiality, and former Alabama Judge Roy Moore who was removed from his judgeship after... Monday Clutter

Hi everyone, Welcome to the start of a brand new week! Raise your hand if you have a good feeling about this one. Even BDH is jumping up and down. Excellent. Grab yourself a nice medium DD, and let's get going. Let me see if I have this straight. Pitcher Carlos Silva showed up to work in horrible shape, got into a physical altercation with a teammate, publicly ripped his employer, was released by said employer, and STILL gets $11.5 million? That's a nice life. No one seemed to pick up on the irony of this quote by Cubs general... Read more →

Sunday Clutter

Hi everyone, It's a quiet morning in Clutter Headquarters. I didn't sleep well at all, and BDH is still out cold. It might be a multi-DD Sunday, so grab your first cup, and let's see what we've got. RIP Geraldine Ferraro. I didn't agree with her comments during the 2008 presidential election, but there's no doubt that she was a trailblazer for women of all ages across the country when she was selected as Walter Mondale's vice-presidential candidate in 1984. Dear GOP, you can only run from it for so long, but at some point, you'll have to vote for... Read more →

Listen to the Music

It suddenly dawned on me that I haven't listened to that much music recently. I don't know why that is, but I haven't heard much for the last month except for the "Songs of the Day" and whatever was playing at the gym. Before that, it was a few months of sporadic listening to a couple of radio stations, but I'm not sure I used my iPod once this year, and I decided it was time to change that. The results were surprising. The first few songs were off of my gym play-list, and hearing them was like getting multiple... Read more →

Friday Clutter

Hi everyone, Great to see you again, and congratulations on making it through another week. Well done! This calls for a nice medium DD and perhaps a solid dose of randomness before the week concludes, don't you think? Let's see what we've got. Newt Gingrich is clearly trying to steal Mitt Romney's base by making a play for the flip-flop voters. Easy now, big guy. It's not even summer yet! (Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all night. Tip the waitstaff, they work hard.) The question remains though, what is the exact goal in Libya, and how do we... Read more →

Hi everyone, Welcome back! Glad to see you didn't let this morning's blizzard stop you from joining us. All I know is that the Red Sox start the season a week from tomorrow, so it's all good. Until then, grab yourself a nice medium DD, and let's get this show on the road. RIP Elizabeth Taylor. She seemed to be one of the last classic Hollywood actresses left and certainly lived a fascinating life. There is so much material to work with here, but I'd like to say cheers especially for her courage in being the first celebrity to take... Read more →

Mad About You Clutter

Hi everyone, Nice to see you again as always. Welcome back for another round of randomness! No, the calendar is not playing tricks on you, it is in fact already Wednesday. Still standing? Excellent. I could use a little help today from BDH, but he's too busy staring out the window. He's an easily distracted dog. Oh well, let him have his fun. Grab yourself a nice medium DD, and let's clear out some hump day Clutter. The Clutter Tree's branches droop just a bit in sadness today in for the Olmsted Elm. South Dakota: Where coercion is the law... Read more →

Tuesday Clutter

Hi everyone, That was some fantastic weather yesterday, huh? Nothing signals the start of spring better than a nice steady snowfall. Ugh. Thankfully it didn't stick. In any case, BDH and I refuse to watch the weather forecast for the rest of the week, and instead we'll continue to focus on the buds that are slowly growing on the Clutter tree. Spring is here, my friends, and there's no turning back now, so grab yourself a nice DD (iced if you like), and let's clear out some Clutter. If we're saving Libyans from being slaughtered, that's great, but the biggest... Read more →
