Friday Clutter

Hi everyone, Once again, it's time for those magical words--TGIF. It's been a crazy week, but everyone still seems to be standing, so it's all good, even though I didn't get to finish my medium iced DD with milk and sugar. Let's wrap up the week and clear some Clutter... Shocking news about "Friends" star about Matt LeBlanc (besides the fact he's still alive.) No one will be charged in the email problem at City Hall. Bill Clinton demonstrates the power of incumbency. Mike Tyson has a lot to say. Did The Party of No peak too soon? What's the... Read more →

Sign Me Up

I don't understand Red Sox "fans" who say the season is over because April goes badly, or those who would say the team should start getting ready for next year now and start selling off some parts, even though it's still July. The baseball season is 162 games long, and it takes about six months to play. In other words, it's a freaking long season. If you're going to be a baseball fan, and invest that energy, why would you bail early? If you can't stay focused that long, baseball isn't the sport for you. If we've learned one thing... Thursday Clutter

Hi everyone, I've got a knot in my back and an ache in my belly, so let's just cut to the chase and clear out a little bit of Clutter. Hopefully, we'll be back to full strength soon... To every Red Sox "fan" who has thrown in the towel in the last few weeks, can I have your tickets? When Marco Scutaro is hitting a grand slam to give Josh Beckett his second win of the year, anything is still possible. Suck it up! Though they clearly still have significant challenges, as Dustin Pedroia finally learns he's human. Some guy... Read more →

Someone Doesn't Want You to Read This

Hi folks, I know you think I'm paid by Dunkin Donuts to give them a plug in almost every Clutter, but it's more than just the opening line to a blog post. The the simple fact is that I put my life at risk when I don't drink the stuff. Take this morning for instance. I walked out of my house, looked to the right and there was no car coming. I looked to the left, and there was one car coming from a ways down the street. I take two steps into the street, not realizing that there was... Read more →

Tuesday Clutter

Hi folks, Ok, let's try this again. The medium iced DD with milk and sugar "seems" to have done the trick for this morning, so hopefully we won't have a repeat of yesterday. That was just awkward. On to the Clutter... Let's get right to the good stuff with the Red Sox beating the Angels 6-3. Highlights included, not one but two home runs by Big Papi, and the return of Victor Martinez, who had an RBI single, which was the first RBI by a Sox catcher since June 29th. Think about that, people. The fact that the Sox haven't... Read more →

DD Failed Me Clutter

Good evening, everyone. Today has just been one of those days. It was a rare day that my two medium iced DD's with milk and sugar totally failed me. I don't know how to make my way in a world where this is possible. I'll try to pull it together and see what Clutter there is to clear today. Mel Gibson apparently also hates Timothy Dalton. I wonder who Gibson likes these days, and what does that say about those people? Oliver Stone complains about "Jewish domination of the media." Great, maybe he can hang out with Mel Gibson. What... Basically, Run

The beauty of having a blog is that I can write about whatever I like. Therefore, yes, we are going to have one more Dr. Who post for the weekend. I probably watched yesterday's clip another five times after I posted it. There are a number of reasons for that, but one of them is the music. I don't know if it's an actual piece or just incidental music that the BBC created for the show, but I couldn't stop thinking about the first time I heard it, which was the end of the Season Five opener. Each time The... Read more →

Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed...Something Blue

It's quite late now, and I'm still thinking about how much I enjoyed the finale of Season Five of Doctor Who. It was a fairly complicated story, which I won't get into because it will make no sense whatsoever to someone who doesn't watch the show. However, I do want to say that the finale did a great job of rewarding viewers who stuck through the whole season, and you don't always get that. There are few things more frustrating than staying with a show all year and not getting a satisfying resolution. On the flip side, you know you're... Read more →

Saturday Clutter

Hi everyone, It's so hot and humid out today, I'm just going to cut right to the chase and say grab a cold Sam Adams Summer Ale, and let's clear out some Clutter. It was great to see Josh Beckett look so good in his return last night against the Seattle Mariners. Mind you, the Mariners aren't exactly what you'd call a "good" team this year, but it's a major boost to the Red Sox if Beckett can quickly get into a groove. Speaker Nancy Pelosi tries to energize the frustrated liberal base of the Democratic Party. The ability of... Read more →

Friday Clutter

Hi everyone, Well, we made it through another week. Cheers! I hope you all have a fun weekend and enjoy yourselves, perhaps with the assistance of a medium iced DD with milk and sugar, or a Sam Adams Summer Ale, depending on the time of day. Let's get right to the Clutter... Times are apparently tough for Darth Vader. I would have figured his royalties would have taken care of him for life, but maybe he signed a bad contract? If there's one person I'm less interested in hearing about than Lindsay Lohan, it has to be her father, Michael.... Read more →
