Wednesday Clutter

Hi everyone, and happy Wednesday. I hope your week is going well, but if it's not, at least there's a long weekend right around the corner. Let's throw down the medium iced DD with milk and sugar and clear out some Clutter, shall we? Great 8-5 win by the Red Sox over the Tampa Bay Rays last night. This headline from The New York Times tells you everything you need to know about the game. I'm sorry Victor Martinez had to go on the disabled list with a broken thumb, but it sure is nice to have Jason Varitek as... Read more →

Tuesday Clutter

Happy Tuesday, everyone. Following up on last night's Clutter, I ended up deciding I'd take my chances with the next "storm of doom," and went to the gym. Of course, there was no storm, but there was great humidity, so I ended up being sweatier when I got home than I was at the gym! The storm watch continues today. Luckily, I have the energy to continue this game thanks to my medium iced DD with milk and sugar. Now, let's clear some Clutter... "Rescue Me" returns for its final season tonight on F/X. This and "The Shield" used to... Read more →

Monday Night Clutter

Just a few quick bits of Clutter while I debate going to the gym and risking getting caught in a thunderstorm on the way home. Big decision... Is this the end for The Office? Hard to imagine the show without Michael Scott. I also wonder if they really have much more to do with these folks since Pam and Jim got married. Shark-jumping time? Disappointing to hear that Motley Crue's lead singer Vince Neil was arrested on a DUI charge. Neil killed a man in a drunk driving accident in the 1980's. Best wishes for a speedy recovery to former... Read more →

Monday Clutter

Happy 110 degree with 120% humidity Monday, everyone. I hope you're having a good day, which today is simply defined as not completely sweating through your clothes. Ugh. Let's clear out some Clutter, as always, thanks to a medium iced DD with milk and sugar. R.I.P. Senator Robert Byrd, the longest serving member of Congress. The Party of No is geared up to go after Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan. But how will they do it? Meanwhile, the Supreme Court is prepared to wipe out another set of gun restrictions. Condolences to Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the... Read more →

Less Than Clutter

Baseball giveth and baseball taketh away. The day after hitting three home runs, Dustin Pedroia fractured his left foot by hitting a foul ball on it. It's unclear how long he'll be out for, though it sounds like six weeks on the long end. It's amazing the the Red Sox are doing so well, considering how many injuries they've had, now also including Clay Buchholz hyperextending his knee during Saturday's game. However, it sounds like they expect Clay to bounce back quickly from that. No matter what the issue, one way or another, in Tito, we trust. A review of... Read more →

Saturday's Summer Song

Morning, everyone. Just a little Clutter to clear before I head out for the day. Today's Clutter is brought to you, as always by a large iced DD with milk and sugar. Let's see what we've got. Ari Gold is back. We missed you, my friend. The rest of your friends? Eh. You, on the other hand, are welcome sight/force of nature. Condolences to the family and friends of State Representative Robert Nyman who was found dead in his swimming pool last night. He was only 49 years old. Dustin Pedroia is going to be fine, Dustin Pedroia is going... Read more →

Laser Show Gets It Done

In case you didn't stay up late enough last night to see Dustin Pedroia's three home runs, check out today's "Clip of the Day," for the final shot. The best part of the video is when Big Papi hugs him so hard, his helmet falls off, and Papi almost throws him down the stairs. Good times. Have a good weekend, everyone! Read more →

Friday's Clutter

I'll clearly need a copy of Sammy Hagar's autobiography when it comes out. Don't ever doubt The Laser Show. Congrats to Dustin Pedroia, who went 5-5 with one, two, three home runs, including the game winner as the Red Sox beat the Rockies 13-11. He may be on the short side of five feet tall, but Pedroia has hit some Ortiz-esque bombs. It also doesn't hurt that he's part of my team in my home run pool. The Mike Lowell saga remains depressing as he goes on the disabled list. I'd love to see him get the opportunity to play... Read more →

Immature Clutter

Why the Party of No should tell Congressman Barton to shut up. Here's hoping they don't follow this advice. Eliot Spitzer's comeback continues. Not to say my ego is out of control, but the Red Sox went 5-1 the week I was on vacation. Now they're in a two game losing streak, and I'm at work. I think it's time to pack up and head out to the West Coast. Wait for me, guys! I watched the premiere episode of "Downfall" Tuesday night because of the host, professional wrestler Chris Jericho. I thought there could be a sliver of potential... Read more →

Wednesday Clutter

Happy Wednesday everyone. Somehow I missed my DD yesterday (still trying to figure out how that happened), so I had to counterbalance that by having two this morning. I clearly won't be sleeping tonight, so in the meantime, let's clear out some Clutter. Let's start off with the hard question--who hates Tori Spelling? How could you possibly hate Tori? She's one of the true class acts of Hollywood. Should I post a link to the best streak in baseball right now, or am I jinxing it? As an aside, don't you have to have an ego the size of the...
