The Greatest Song Ever

Let's be clear, the beauty of the Internet is that it allows greatness like this song to be spread throughout the land at lightning speed. This is without a doubt the single greatest song ever. From near and far, let the word go forth: I'm in a Granite State of Mind. (Thanks to Mom Clutter for forwarding this along!) Read more →

Wednesday Clutter

Happy Wednesday, everyone. The rain seems to be slowing down, and the Red Sox are right around the corner, so it can't be all bad. Now, let's open a large DD with milk and sugar and clear out some Clutter... Hugh Laurie appears on Meat Loaf's new album. That's a sentence you don't expect to write very often. I don't know if I'd buy the entire album, but I will clearly have to get this song off of iTunes. Roger Clemens won't be pleased about Mindy McCready's new sex tape. I feel bad for McCready, she seems to have had... Read more →

The Rain Never Ends Clutter

Ok, today's bus ride was without incident, and the power is still on. So far, we're off to a better start than yesterday. Thankfully, you can get through anything when you have a large DD with milk and sugar by your side. Let's get to some Clutter. What a weird start to the week. I should have known it wouldn't be a typical day when a guy, who I'm fairly sure was mentally ill, went out of his way to elbow me in the back as he made his way to his seat on the bus. I think I was... Read more →

Rainy Monday Clutter

(Sorry for the extreme delay, folks. This would have been out hours ago, except for a massive power outage at the Clutter headquarters. So, enjoy the Clutter that NSTAR did not want you to read, and hopefully we'll be back to our normal publishing schedule on Tuesday.) What a seriously ugly Monday. At this rate, I'm going to start swimming to work, stopping first of course for a large DD with milk and sugar. Let's clear out some Monday Clutter, shall we? Opening Day is only six days away, and my first Red Sox game of the year is two... Read more →

Sunday Clutter

I managed to find my way back to the gym yesterday, and I didn't die, so I might have to try that again some time soon. Dad Clutter is on his way to town for lunch, so let's clear the latest bit of Clutter before he gets here. Random sighting of the week. I passed Irish actor Gabriel Byrne coming out of the Hotel Commonwealth yesterday. Unfortunately, he was meeting his driver at the moment I realized it was him, so I couldn't get the BlackBerry out for a picture request before he drove away. I hope I'm not losing... Read more →

I Confuse Easily

Folks, I'm not going to lie, I confuse real easily. "Clutter" is not a particularly hard blog to create from a technical perspective. In fact, it's pretty close to "Blogging for Idiots," which is just about the right level for me. It's pretty straightforward, but apparently I'm still not smart enough to keep up. I've just discovered that somehow I manged to include the same blurb and song for the Friday Night and Saturday "Songs of the Day," and I'm not sure how that happened. I had a different song in mind for Saturday, and I wrote it up, but... Read more →

Saturday Clutter

Ok, I'm off to find my gym for the first time in a month. In the meantime, here's a little Clutter... (This is a day late. Sorry, Brett!) Let's start with an update on my step-brother, Brett London. As some of you will remember, Brett is an actor who is doing a great job busting his a## in LA, including being friends with "The Most Interesting Man in the World." Brett tells me that he's appearing in today's episode of the ABC soap opera, "All My Children," so keep an eye out for him in case you happen to be... Read more →

Friday Night Clutter

Good evening everyone. This was such a crazy week, I just couldn't get all of the Clutter out of my head earlier today. Evening Clutter is brought to you by Sam Adams. It's almost time for Summer Ale to come out. Life is good. Let's start with an update on my step-brother, Brett London. As some of you will remember, Brett is an actor who is doing a great job busting his a## in LA, including being friends with "The Most Interesting Man in the World." Friday Clutter

Dear Friday, You and I have always gotten along pretty well, so how about you let me get through you in one piece today, and I'll be most grateful. Deal? Sincerely, Colin. I don't know if this large DD with milk and sugar is going to be enough to keep me awake today. If the office door is closed, don't knock. Let's clear out some Clutter... Oh what a crazy Thursday. It started with a morning event downtown, and we all know how much I love the morning. It ended with an 8:00 pm meeting in Worcester which might have... Read more →

Thursday Clutter

'Morning everyone. I can't tell if I think Thursday raced here, or if this week has gone on for a month. Hmm, well, let's fire up the medium DD with milk and sugar and get to some Clutter. It appears Scrubs is finally dead. They should have ended it last season when they wrapped up everything nicely, but Scrubs 2.0 was never needed, and apparently judging by the ratings, never wanted. I don't know much about much, but I'm pretty sure your coach and teammates don't take it so well when you refuse to play in a game. Dustin Pedroia... Read more →
