Just a few thoughts while enjoying a large DD with milk and sugar... Last night's mayoral debate lacked the drama that some had hoped for. Mayor Menino was unimpressive, but Councilor Flaherty, while steady, never landed a hard hit that rattled the mayor. Councilor Flaherty trails by 9-20 points (depending on the poll), and it's hard to see how he can make that up at this point. The Flaherty campaign claims to have an internal poll saying it's only a 7-9% gap. I'd love to hear more about that. It's amazing how much power there is in human contact.
